Trowel Trades Supply is proud to feature one of the newest additions to the University of Vermont’s exceptional campus. This dormitory project was constructed over the course of two years and is now the home of nearly 800 students.
Trowel Trades Supply worked closely with the building architect to find a clay brick combination similar to the red sandstone rocked ashlar originally desired. The blend of 4” high rocked face brick and 12” high velour texture brick, in alternating courses, offered the desired aesthetic effect and provided a significant material price savings compared to the original red sandstone.
In addition, Trowel Trades Supply worked closely with the landscape architect in choosing the hardscape’s natural stone elements, which permitted a large and elaborate design for the lowest stone material price by using a variety of dimension stone products most compatible with the design.

 Testimonials
“We had great service from Trowel Trades. It was a large project - six buildings over nineteen months. What was extremely helpful was Trowel Trades made things easy working long distance with the architect. Between us, the general contractor, the architect and Trowel Trades there was a lot of paperwork and communication and they helped keep it organized and kept us in the loop. Even right down to mortar colors - which are different down south due to the sand there versus here.
Details like that are not missed by Trowel Trades. They are wonderful to work with.“

“It is always a pleasure to work with the team at Trowel Trades. Whitney and Gene always make purchasing easy and pay attention to the details. Univeristy Heights was a difficult job because there were so many different products and each stone was custom fabricated. They were great at detailing the materials and making all that happen. The delivery crew is superb! They always put the
products right where we need them. We can't do what we do without them.”
