Middlebury College’s Battell Hall Proves That Teamwork Rocks
When Middlebury College—the oldest operating college or university in Vermont since its opening in 1800—shared its plans to build a new first-year residence hall on campus, Trowel Trades Supply gladly raised its hand to help. The result: an 87,000-square-foot, 298-bed residence hall that is the largest, and most stunning, stone project built in Vermont in the past 50 years!
Trowel Trades Supply performed the design assist with Philadelphia-based architects Voith & Mactavish LLP, wrote the specification, and further partnered with builders Naylor & Green of Brandon, VT. Together, the team brought this massive stone project to completion, on budget and in time for Middlebury’s incoming freshman class of 2025 to occupy the beautiful new hall.
